Matica Ribbon Retransfer Film XID With 750 Prints On XID8300 XID8600 XL8300
chromXpert® Security Ribbons
Enhancing card security for desktop card printers with unique, security-driven card printer ribbons for secure ID issuance programs.
ChromXpert's security ribbons combine crisp color printing (up to 16.7 million vivid colors) and subtle security panel overlays to reduce the risk of counterfeiting. When used with direct to card printers such as the MC DTC series, a varnish type overlay panel (O) protects the printed information and ensures durability throughout the card's lifetime.
In the retransfer printing process, the color and security panels are printed onto a clear retransfer film that is subsequently transferred onto the card surface. This enables consistent print results with various card types including PC, PET, and smart cards with embedded chips and irregular surfaces - making these security ribbons ideal for decentralized secure government ID issuance programs.
All security ribbons include the capability to add a unique symbol, logo, or pattern to decrease the risk of forgery.
IMPORTANT: Printer warranty is subject to the use of chromXpert ribbons.
Ribbon Specifications - Retransfer Series
ChromXpert has developed a secure ribbon range for retransfer printers. Ribbons are available in both Diamond and Platinum options and are optimized to work with the MC660 and XID retransfer series printers.

The chromXpert® Retransfer film ribbon is developed and harmonized for use with Matica's XID printers and consists of:
  • The color dyes released from the color ribbon are printed to the retransfer film
  • In a second process, this printed retransfer film panel is then transferred to the card body using heat and pressure
